Fire Damages Condo Units At The Shore

BRICK – A three-alarm blaze tore through multiple units in a township condominium complex, causing a traffic nightmare and several units to respond.

Brick Township Police confirm the fire damaged at least six units in the Ocean Club complex on Wednesday afternoon and it took almost two hours to squelch the flames.

Brick Police Chief James Riccio said that no one was injured and many of the units were unoccupied as many use them for seasonal living during the summer tourism season.

The cause of the fire is unknown but a full investigation is now underway.

Route 35 had to be shut down for a few hours during the late afternoon rush but has since reopened.
