Police Hunt For Busy Burglar, Struck Multiple Businesses

STAFFORD – He was quite busy Sunday night. That’s the best way to describe things after an unidentified white male went on a burglary spree in the township. He has police searching for him and asking for the public’s help.

Stafford Township Police Captain James Vaughn said the man burglarized the Mama Maria’s Pizzeria on Route 9 Sunday night before heading over to 25 South Main Street, breaking into four businesses.

Police said he struck at the Jersey Mikes, Asian Gourmet, Andy’s Pizzeria and an abandoned store front.

The suspect approached the rear of the businesses on a dark colored mountain bike with reflectors on the wheels, before forcing entry to each rear door and removing an undisclosed amount of cash from the registers.

Police believe he is the same suspect who committed multiple commercial burglaries in the Little Egg Harbor area last Tuesday, October 8.
