STAFFORD – A former bank teller has been charged in connection with a debit card and account information theft scheme affecting multiple customers at a TD Bank in Stafford Township, police said.
Katelyn S. Lang, 28, of Browns Mills, was arrested June 19 following a Stafford Township Police Department investigation that began in April. Detectives identified four additional victims whose accounts were accessed without authorization, authorities said.
According to police, Lang linked the victims’ debit card and account information to a digital wallet starting in January 2025 and used it to make purchases in Stafford Township and nearby areas. Investigators said the fraud occurred after Lang had helped the victims with legitimate transactions while employed as a teller.
Lang turned herself in to police and was charged with five counts of third-degree computer criminal activity, four counts of fourth-degree credit card theft, two counts of third-degree fraudulent use of a credit card, and one count of third-degree criminal attempt.
She was released on a summons and is scheduled to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.
