Two Pemberton Township Men Arrested For Burglary

MANCHESTER – Two Pemberton Township men were arrested in connection to burglaries at Brendan Byrne State Forest.

Raymond N. Harker, 67, was charged with burglary, theft, defiant trespass, possession of stolen property, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy to commit theft.

Samuel Lewis Jr. was charged with criminal trespass, theft, conspiracy to commit theft, and possession of stolen property.

Both men were released on summonses.

On April 6, Manchester Township Police investigated a burglary at a camping/hunting trailer in the state forest, the location of two other cabins and trailers burglarized in March. Police were able to develop photographs that showed a possible suspect and vehicle, which were then circulated on social media.

While investigating the scene, police observed the vehicle, a silver Chevrolet Colorado, driving down a nearby wooded trail. Police stopped the vehicle, which held Harker and Lewis Jr.

Police were able to recover the stolen property from three different locations in Burlington County and return the items to their respective owners.
