Brick Street Crimes Unit Busts Two On Drug Charges

BRICK – After receiving a number of complaints from residents, the Brick Township Police Street Crimes Unit began a probe in the area of Mathis Drive. This led to the apprehension of a man and a woman on drug charges.

Township Police Sgt. Jim Kelly said 53-year-old Daniel Brennan of Manchester and 27-year-old Alyssa Thomas of Brick were arrested on January 13 during a traffic stop.

According to Sgt. Kelly, the probe revealed they had methamphetamine, heroin, syringes and other drug paraphernalia in their possession.

Both Brennan and Thomas were charged with possession of Methamphetamine, possession of hypodermic syringes and possession of paraphernalia. Thomas received an additional charge for possession of Heroin.

The charges for Brennan were placed on a summons and he was released pending a future court date.

Thomas was was lodged in Ocean County Jail.
