Biting And Punching In Shore Area Bar Fights

BRICK – What would normally be a peaceful night at the bar turned into two altercations in Brick.

Brick Township Police Sergeant Jim Kelly said officers were called to the Mantoloking Ale House on Saturday night a little after 7 p.m. for a report of simple assault.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers saw a fight outside the restaurant between two men. According to witnesses, the fight had started inside the bar and spilled out into the parking lot.

Both men suffered minor injuries.

Sergeant Kelly added that there was a separate incident that happened at the same time at the same bar.

A woman called police after she claimed her hair was pulled and she was bitten on the arm by another woman who she didn’t know.

All of the people injured were treated by Brick Township EMS on the scene.

No one was arrested or charged but the investigation continues. None of the identities of those involved were released.

Sergeant Kelly told Jersey Shore Online that from their initial investigation, it appears both incidents are unrelated.

Point Beach Police had heard what was going on and offered to send backup to the scene. However Brick PD had the situation under control and canceled the extra assistance.
