TOMS RIVER – A concerned citizen alerted authorities Saturday to a body inside an SUV in a busy shopping plaza, according to police.
Toms River Police responded to the Stella Plaza at 10:30 a.m. after they received the phone call stating that a man was seen not moving inside his vehicle.
Toms River Police Spokesperson Jillian Messina confirmed that officers believe the 67-year-old man suffered a medical episode and may have pulled over to seek help before passing away.
Messina added that although a full investigation is underway, they don’t suspect anything suspicious.
The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
