Man Arrested For Lakehurst Burglary

LAKEHURST – Borough police charged a Lakewood man with burglary and criminal mischief on Jan. 23.

  Jibril I. Thompson, 30, was arrested by borough police who responded around 3:10 p.m. to a call of a burglary in progress at a Lakehurst residence.

Officer Christian Hernandez led an on scene investigation which revealed that Thompson had entered the residence without permission and that he had damaged property inside.

Thompson was placed under arrest by Officer Hernandez and transported to Lakehurst Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with Burglary (Third Degree) and Criminal Mischief (Disorderly Persons).

He was issued a warrant for the charges, as per bail reform. Thompson was transported to the Ocean County Jail where he was lodged, pending a mandatory court appearance.

Assisting Officer Hernandez was Sergeant Iain James, Officer Michael Cecchini and Officer Robert Schroeck.
