TOMS RIVER – A Manchester man is being held in Ocean County Jail on a raft of charges.

Nathan Raymond Boyce, 24, of Patterson Avenue in Manchester, was arrested June 7 near the ShopRite on Fischer Boulevard after attempting to steal a woman’s purse from the local McDonalds. He attempted to take that purse off the window ledge of the restaurant, and when the woman yelled for him to drop her purse, he did and left the building.

He again arrested June 11 after being observed stealing items from Kmart. He was also charged with a June 10 burglary after he allegedly entered a Hooper Avenue home after its residents fell asleep. He was also charged with shoplifting from Wal-Mart on Route 37 that same day, reportedly stealing two bottles of Robitussin and a T-shirt.

He was processed June 11 and is awaiting trial.
