TOMS RIVER – A local favorite is back in business! The Toms River Diner has finally reopened its doors after its closure back in 2016.

The diner, located on Route 37 East in Toms River, had been in business since 1972 before its recent closure. Since then, the restaurant is up and running again, having opened its doors to the public once again on May 28.

Now under new ownership, the diner has been receiving rave reviews on social media, some calling it a “local gem,” “better than ever” and “beautifully redone.”

The diner was opened over 40 years ago by the Vasilakis family. The new owner also owns the Holiday City Diner, located nearby on Mule Road.
