TOMS RIVER – A hearing for the proposed development Cox Cro Crossings has been rescheduled, and the development itself has changed, officials said.
The hearing was originally set to be July 18, but it was pushed off to the Sept. 5 meeting.
The development is planned near the intersection of Cox Cro Road and Route 9. There is a mix of different uses proposed there.
The new plans are for two residential buildings, totaling 42 units, and two retail/office buildings, township planner David Roberts said. Previously, there were plans for a medical office there, and 40 residential units.
This is not the first time the plan has changed. There used to be a gas station and a convenience store in the mix.
The site engineer was unavailable for the July 18 meeting, so the applicant decided to postpone the hearing. The August meeting agenda is already full, so the application is scheduled for Sept. 5, Roberts said.
