Car Goes Up In Flames On Route 37 In Toms River

  TOMS RIVER – After stopping at a red light on Route 37, a driver’s car suddenly caught fire and was quickly engulfed in the flames.

  On April 23, the Toms River Police Department responded to a call regarding a vehicle fire in the area of Route 37 W and Mule Rd.

  According to police, the driver was stooped at a red light when they noticed black smoke coming from the engine compartment. The driver quickly pulled over onto the shoulder and exited the vehicle. Shortly after, the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.

  The Toms River Fire Department responded to the scene and the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported.
