TOMS RIVER – A concerned phone tip from a resident leads township police to a tragic scene. Police confirm to Jersey Shore Online that a body was found in the woods near Fischer Boulevard and Waters Edge Drive on Wednesday.
Police Sergeant Gene Bachonski told Jersey Shore Online that the body was found hanging from a tree in the woods in the area also known as Cowboy City.
Police said that the body was positively identified and the family was notified. They also wanted to let the public know that no foul play is suspected and the public is not at risk.
