STAFFORD — Police say the Grinch has been “taken into custody” after a string of playful sightings around town, marking the return of a lighthearted holiday tradition.
According to the department, officers tracked down the green troublemaker and staged a festive arrest, bringing a bit of humor to the Thanksgiving season. The event was produced with help from the Jetty Flagship Store and Tony Coon Productions, who partner with police each year to create the holiday-themed video.
Officials said the Grinch has agreed to redeem himself through a series of community service appearances over the coming weeks. A schedule of stops will be released soon, and residents may spot him popping up at various events throughout the holiday season.
The department shared the video with residents as a kickoff to the festivities, wishing the community a happy holiday season.
