BARNEGAT – Two fourteen year olds were arrested in the township Sunday afternoon, after a report came in that they were throwing bottles off of an overpass onto the Garden State Parkway.
Barnegat Police said the two male juveniles were still at the scene when they arrived at the overpass on West Bay Avenue.
Due to their ages, police cannot release their identities. One juvenile was charged with interference with transportation and unlawful possession of a knife.
The other was charged with unlawful possession of brass knuckles.
According to the department, there has not been any reports of damage to vehicles or injuries resulting from the thrown bottles.
