LITTLE EGG HARBOR – A Wawa in Little Egg Harbor has temporarily closed its doors to the public due to one employee testing positive for COVID-19.
There was a sign posted at the location on Mathistown Road noting that the closure was in line with the corporate office’s protocols on safety.
The store will be cleaned before being reopened, according to the sign. Employees might be brought in from other locations. Customers have said that the gas pumps were still open.
The employee had last been in the store on September 12, and the closure was posted on September 15.
“As always, the health and safety of our customers and associates is a top priority. We will do everything we can to support our impacted associate and take all necessary steps to monitor, safeguard, and protect our associates and customers,” the sign stated.
