MANAHAWKIN – A cat was stuck in a tree for multiple days before animal control was called to rescue it.

The Stafford Township Animal Control received a call of an injured cat that was stuck in a tree. After an officer saved the cat, she was taken to the Stafford Veterinary Hospital for a medical exam.

To the surprise of the staff, the cat was not injured but pregnant. Once she climbed the tree, she was unable to get back down on her own due to being pregnant.

The Township has named her Ms. Kitty and she will be staying in foster care up until the kittens are born and are old enough for adoption.

If you recognize Ms. Kitty, contact the Stafford Township Animal Control at 609-597-1000 ext. 8525 so she can be reunited with her family.
