
WOODBRIDGE — A Barnegat woman was killed early New Year’s Day after being thrown from her vehicle during a crash on the northbound Garden State Parkway, according to New Jersey State Police.
State police said Tiara Muhammad, 31, was driving a Chevrolet sport utility vehicle shortly after 3:30 a.m. on January 1, when the vehicle veered into the bullnose divider separating the local and express lanes near milepost 127.9 in Woodbridge.
Investigators said the impact caused Muhammad to be ejected from the vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved and no additional injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation, and authorities did not release further details.
