Charges Made For DWI, Motel Fight

  LACEY – The Lacey Township Police Department made a series of charges including a DWI as well as an assault at a local motel.

  On February 14 around 2:35 p.m., officers stopped an alleged intoxicated driver on Station Drive near Route 9. After discovering the driver was intoxicated, he was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters.

  The driver, 42-year-old Jason Becker of Forked River, was issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI and Reckless Driving, and released in accordance with John’s Law.

  On February 14 around 5:45 p.m., officers responded to the Lacey Inn on 229 North Main Street after a report of woman chasing a man on the property. The caller told police that another guest of the motel punched him in the face and spat on him.

  After discussing the incident with the suspect, 36-year-old Robyn Geneski of Seaside Heights, she was subsequently charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.

  Charges are merely accusations until proven in a court of law.
