BARNEGAT – A Lakewood man was arrested on weapons charges in Barnegat on Friday, July 13.
Police stopped a vehicle around 3:30 p.m. on Ocean Avenue, driven by Saquan Weaver, 26. He fled the scene in his car. Police found his vehicle parked in the middle of Mast Drive, with him not in the vehicle.
Officers searched a Mast Drive residence with consent and found Weaver hiding in the shower. They had found two loaded semi-automatic handguns and one loaded revolver in his car.
Weaver was charged with eluding, three counts of unlawful possession of a handgun, unlawful possession of a defaced handgun, and certain persons not to possess a firearm.
He was housed at Ocean County Jail.
