Traffic Lights Out In Brick

BRICK – A possible lightning strike may be the cause for traffic light outages along Route 70 in Brick.

Sgt. Neal Pedersen told Jersey Shore Online said there were officers at Route 70 and Route 88, and again at Route 70 and Pello Road, directing traffic.

Police did visually confirm that a breaker does appear stripped, Pedersen said.

The outage just occurred, so Brick Police are waiting for JCP&L crews to arrive. Pedersen said there’s no timeline as to when the lights will be working again. There are still storms in the area, and JCP&L won’t put their workers in a bucket part of a bucket truck to work until they know the weather has cleared.
