LACEY – A two-car accident resulted in injuries July 2 before midnight at Route 9 and Beach Boulevard.
Police said Zachary Campbell, 23, of Bayville, turned onto Route 9 from Beach Boulevard into the path of another vehicle heading south on 9.
The 37-year-old Lacey resident driving the other vehicle, and her 32-year-old male passenger from Beachwood, were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The woman sustained head injuries, and the man serious injuries to his lower extremities.
Campbell was uninjured. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Additional charges are pending.
Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Officer assisted with the investigation.
