Car Burglaries In Southern Ocean Under Investigation

LANOKA HARBOR – Car break-ins occurred on two neighboring blocks last week.

Lacey Township Police reported that Officer Noah Schaffer responded to two calls about car burglaries on Oct. 17.

The first, reported at 5:50 a.m., occurred on the 600 block of Colgate Avenue. The second incident was answered at 6:19 a.m. on the 700 block of Amherst Road. Both reports state that sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, vehicle windows were smashed, and items were stolen. Both vehicles were reportedly locked and parked in the residences’ driveways.

The Colgate Avenue car damage was estimated at $1,000, with $600 property stolen. The Amherst Road car damage was estimated at $500, with $100 property stolen.
