President Donald Trump, First Lady, Test Positive For COVID-19

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have both tested positive for COVID-19. The news was confirmed by President Trump himself on Twitter.

Earlier on Thursday, it was announced that Hope Hicks, one of the president’s senior advisers had tested positive for coronavirus with symptoms. This news comes after Hicks had traveled with the president several times in the last few days.

Later Thursday night, President Trump tweeted that he and the first lady would begin the self-quarantine process as a precaution.

On Friday morning shortly before 1 a.m. eastern time, President Trump tweeted the news that he and the first lady tested positive and would begin the quarantine process immediately. He said “we will get through this TOGETHER!”
