TOMS RIVER — A Trenton man has admitted to distributing fentanyl in Ocean County as part of a multi-agency narcotics investigation, authorities said.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Seption Diggs, 30, entered a guilty plea April 13 before Superior Court Judge Dina M. Vicari. Prosecutors plan to seek a 10-year state prison sentence when Diggs is sentenced May 29.

The charges stem from a two-month investigation during the summer of 2025 targeting illegal drug activity in Ocean County. The probe involved coordination among local, county, state and federal agencies, including the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration and multiple specialized units from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office and Jackson Township Police Department.

Investigators identified Diggs as a suspected distributor of heroin and cocaine in the area, officials said.

On Aug. 5, 2025, detectives conducting surveillance in Trenton observed Diggs enter a vehicle driven by Ahmia Tillery, 27, also of Trenton. The vehicle traveled toward Jackson Township, where local police conducted a traffic stop. Both individuals were taken into custody without incident.

Authorities executed a court-approved search of the vehicle and reported seizing quantities of heroin and cocaine. In total, investigators recovered approximately 2,580 doses of heroin and 59 grams of cocaine during the course of the investigation.

Diggs has remained in custody at the Ocean County Jail since his arrest. Tillery was released on Aug. 12, 2025, under New Jersey’s bail reform law. Charges against her are still pending.

Billhimer credited Assistant Prosecutor Alec DeBari, who is prosecuting the case, along with the numerous agencies involved for their coordinated efforts.
