MANCHESTER – Oliverie Funeral Home has received the National Funeral Directors Association’s 2026 Pursuit of Excellence Award for its service to families, professional standards and community involvement.
The local business was among 301 funeral home locations worldwide selected for the honor this year.
The annual award recognizes funeral homes that demonstrate high standards throughout their operations, including ethical conduct, staff development, family services, community outreach and innovation.
Applicants must complete an extensive review process showing compliance with state and federal regulations, continuing education opportunities for employees and resources for families experiencing loss. Recipients must also demonstrate support for the funeral service profession and pledge to follow the association’s ethical guidelines.
“Earning the NFDA Pursuit of Excellence Award is a significant achievement and a testament to the dedication of the entire Oliverie Funeral Home team,” NFDA Director of Public Relations Jessica Koth said. “Their commitment to serving families, investing in their staff and strengthening their community represents the very best of what funeral service has to offer.”
Owner and Manager Geraldine Oliverie said the award reflects the compassion and professionalism her staff strives to provide each day.
“For us, excellence is not a goal we reach once—it is a standard we recommit to every single day,” Oliverie said. “This recognition affirms the dedication, compassion and professionalism our staff brings to every family who walks through our doors.”
Oliverie Funeral Home has two locations – Manchester and Jackson.
