TRENTON – A lottery ticket worth $1 million was sold on July 17 at the 7-Eleven at 226 Route 9 and Grant Avenue in Pine Beach, the New Jersey Lottery reported.

The ticket matched five of the five white balls, according to a press release from John M. White, New Jersey Lottery acting executive director. However, he warned that if it had been purchased with the Megaplier option, it would have been worth $5 million.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, July 17th drawing were: 40, 41, 61, 66 and 67. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 05.

The next drawing will be held Friday, July 20 at 11 p.m. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars.

The Megaplier option costs an extra dollar per play. This would increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times.
