LAKEHURST – Some tinted windows on a Nissan driving through the borough leads to the arrest of a Hoboken man on a slew of drug charges.

Lakehurst Police said 37-year-old Eric W. McNulty was pulled over on Wednesday, August 1st at 2:47 p.m. on Union Avenue and Orange Street.

Officer Jason Guide had seen the 2015 Nissan with its front windows tinted, including the windshield, which is a violation of state law.

During the traffic stop, Guide searched the vehicle where he found a large quantity of raw marijuana packaged for resale, Ecstasy and Percocet pills, a scale and other drug paraphernalia.

In addition, McNulty had an active Hudson County Superior Court warrant for his arrest in the amount of $4,182.00.

He was taken into custody and sent to the Ocean County Jail where he’s waiting on a court date.

McNulty was charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Ecstasy, Possession of Percocet and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

As with any arrest, the public is reminded that all criminal charges are merely accusations and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
