MANCHESTER – What kind of heartless brute would dump pet bunnies in the woods? That’s what police would like to know.

Manchester Township Police said two white males between the ages of 19 and 22 years old were seen in the area of Newark Avenue & Nature Drive near Harry Wright Lake, dumping 15 domesticated bunnies and rabbits out of a container in the woods.

Police say they walked back to their cars and drove off.

According to the department, about 11 were recovered but the rest were not located.

A statement from the police on Facebook said the vehicles are described as a newer small sedan blue with tail lights going across the back of the car (possibly a Dodge Dart) and a newer small sedan dark green or gray (possibly a Subaru).

One of the men wore a hat and both had dark hair.
