Lakehurst Motor Vehicle Stops Finds Drugs & Needles

LAKEHURST – A Seaside Heights man was arrested following a motor vehicle stop that found drugs and hypodermic needles in the vehicle.

Darryl V. Trotman, 23, was arrested by Officer Zachary Schulte of the Lakehurst Police after a motor vehicle stop and on scene investigation discovered a quantity of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) and two hypodermic needles.

Trotman was then brought to the Lakehurst Police Department for processing. He was processed and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of Hypodermic Needles, as well as issued a summons for the charges. Trotman has since been released pending a mandatory court appearance.

In addition to Trotman, the driver of the vehicle was issued four motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Suspended, Unlicensed Driver, Failure to Exhibit Driver’s License and Failure to Make Repairs.

In another incident, two Trenton men were arrested following another motor vehicle stop that discovered drugs.

Kevin R. Pineda, 20 and Luis O. Hernandez, 18, were placed under arrest by Officer William Bowers after a motor vehicle stop for a lamps required violation.

A search of the vehicle found a quantity of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS).

Pineda and Hernandez were then transported to Lakehurst Police Department for processing, where Pineda was charged with Possession of CDS and issued three motor vehicle summonses for Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Unlicensed Driver and Lamps Required. Hernandez was also charged with Possession of CDS.

Both individuals have since been released pending a mandatory court appearance.
