LAKEHURST – A vehicle stolen from a borough business was recovered in Trenton, and the alleged thieves arrested.
Lakehurst Police say Scott W. Parker, 21, and Thea M. Deehan, 22, both of Lakehurst, stole the 2011 Hyundai Sonata from Lucky 7 Deli on Aug. 8.
The vehicle was found in Trenton on Aug. 14.
Police saw Parker and Deehan walking near Circle Plaza in Lakehurst on Aug. 15. Parker was arrested while Deehan was taken to police headquarters for questioning. She was subsequently arrested.
In addition to stealing the vehicle, police allege that Parker stole two credit cards from a Lakehurst resident, and used them to make multiple purchases in the borough.
Parker was charged with theft by unlawful taking (motor vehicle – third degree) and receiving stolen property (third degree) and issued a warrant for the charge. He was also charged with a second count of theft by unlawful taking (credit cards) and issued a summons for that charge. He is being held at Ocean County Jail, pending mandatory court appearances in Ocean County and Lakehurst.
Deehan was charged with theft by unlawful taking (motor vehicle – third degree) and receiving stolen property (third Degree). She is being housed in Ocean County Jail pending a mandatory court appearance in Ocean County.
