Heroin Charges Come After Traffic Stop

LAKEHURST – A Lakehurst man was arrested and charged with drug offenses during a traffic stop Aug. 3.

Christopher J. Mahieu, 35, was driving in Lakehurst on Aug. 3. Lakehurst Police Officer Anthony Dipaolo pulled him over on an active warrant out for his arrest from the Ocean County Superior Court.

Mahieu was arrested based on that warrant. However, a vehicle search yielded additional charges.

Police reported finding 24 wax folds of heroin as well as other drug paraphernalia.

Mahieu was processed and charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for possession of a CDS in a motor vehicle.
