Four Ocean County Residents Arrested After Traffic Stop Yields Drugs

MANCHESTER – A rendezvous between the occupants of two vehicles leads to the apprehension of four Ocean County residents on various drug charges.

Manchester Police Lieutenant Vincent Manco said members of the Narcotics Enforcement Team observed the two vehicles in the Pine Lake Park section of town back on March 19.

During a search of both vehicles, police found 30 bags of heroin, 1 gram of cocaine, 26 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia with a street value of $600.

20-year-old Troy Ksyniak of Bayville was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Device to Defraud a Drug Test, Failure to Surrender a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Loitering for the Purpose to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  Ksyniak was lodged at the Ocean County Jail.

26-year-old George Cook of Manchester was charged with Conspiracy to Possess Heroin, Conspiracy to Possess Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Surrender a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Loitering for the Purpose to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  Cook was released on a summons.  

24-year-old Melissa Szewczyk of Toms River was charged with Possession of Cocaine and Loitering for the Purpose to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  Szewczyk was released on a summons.  

27-year-old Michael Shecton of Manchester was charged with Conspiracy to Possess Cocaine, and Loitering for the Purpose to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  Shecton was released on a summons

Both vehicles that were operated during the incident were seized pending forfeiture.  

Assisting in the investigation were members of the Manchester Township Police Patrol Bureau, Toms River Police Patrol Division, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit.
