MANCHESTER – A late-night fire tore through a home in Crestwood Village on October 26, leaving the structure fully engulfed in flames before firefighters brought it under control, authorities said.

The blaze was reported around 10:22 p.m. on Darien Court on the west side of town, prompting the Manchester Township Fire Department’s Station 33 and all township companies to respond. Initial 911 callers reported heavy fire and the possibility of multiple homes involved.

Assistant Chief 3310 upgraded the call to a second alarm while en route, bringing mutual aid from Stations 17, 20, 39, 60, 62, and 67.

Upon arrival, Assistant Chief 3310 found a single-family home fully involved, with flames visible throughout the structure.

All residents were safely accounted for, though officials said pets were believed to still be inside.

Engine 3301 was the first to arrive and began suppression operations, establishing a water supply and deploying a deck gun for an initial knockdown. Firefighters used two hand lines before transitioning to an aerial operation to extinguish the remaining flames.

No injuries to firefighters or residents were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office and Manchester Township Police Department.

Responding units from Station 33 included Assistant Chief 3310, Second Assistant Chief 3320, Engine 3301, Tanker 3318, and Utilities 3327 and 3337.
