Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

LAKEHURST – A Toms River woman was arrested on drug charges after a motor vehicle stop May 13.

Lakehurst Police charged 18-year-old Elisha L. Bellamy with possession of MDMA, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a summons and must appear in Ocean County Superior Court.

Officer Madelyn Waltz stopped the silver Honda Bellamy was driving east on Route 37 for failing to keep right. Bellamy and the two other passengers were searched, when drugs were found. Police determined they belonged to Bellamy.

Waltz was assisted by Officer Harry Paul and Sergeant Matthew Kline.
