Two Car Crash Under Probe In Jackson

JACKSON – Police responded around 1:15 p.m. November 14 to the area of South Hope Chapel Road in the intersection of Whitesville Road for a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash including one overturned vehicle and a second car with entrapment. 

  Police said a 2020 Hyundai Veloster was traveling south bound on South Hope Chapel Road and was making a left turn onto Whitesville Road when it was struck in the passenger side by a 2009 Ford F150 which was traveling north on South Hope Chapel Road.

  Passengers seated in the front of the Hyundai were taking to a local hospital for minor injuries. The third passenger in the rear seat was flown to the Jersey Shore Trauma Center with possible life-threatening injuries. 

All three occupants of the Ford were also taken to a local hospital to be checked out. The names of all parties are being withheld at this time.

  The crash is currently under investigation by Officer Donald Lasko and Sergeant Bosley of the Jackson Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit with assistance from the Ocean County Prosecutors Office and Sheriff’s Department.
