JACKSON – A Toms River woman was arrested for shoplifting at Jackson Premium Outlets.

Jackson Township Police Officers Sean Greenberger, Greg Schmidt and William Colangelo were called to the outlet center after several stores—Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas, and Polo Ralph Lauren—reported a shoplifter.

More than $700 worth of merchandise was recovered, and a 33-year-old Toms River woman arrested.

Officers charged her with shoplifting and resisting arrest after she “resisted the officers [when] being placed under arrest and then seated in a patrol vehicle for transport,” Jackson Township Police Capt. Steven Laskiewicz said.

The woman was processed and faces a court appearance.

Jackson Township Police does not release the names of arrests.
