Police Probe Incidents Of Flying Objects Damaging Vehicles

PLUMSTED – Someone is throwing objects at moving cars on Route 539. That’s what police are now probing after receiving over a dozen complaints.

Plumsted police confirm that on February 14 at 4:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to respond to over 15 instances of vehicles being damaged while traveling south on 539.

According to the department, an occupant of an unknown vehicle described as a dark colored sedan was throwing objects out the window, causing damage to multiple vehicles.

On social media, some who experienced damage thought that the damage was caused by gunfire. Police said it appears that the damage was caused by large rocks and possibly other large objects.
