Police Ask For Help With Burglary Investigation

JACKSON – Police are asking the public for information regarding an alleged burglar in town.

Jackson Township Police are trying to locate 37-year-old Christopher DeMarsico, whose last known address is in Newark.

DeMarsico is allegedly connected with an Aug. 31 burglary at a Bittersweet Drive residence. Police reported that the victim knows DeMarsico.

Police reported that around 3 a.m. Aug. 31, DeMarsico arrived at the residence after being contacted by the victim. The two sat on the porch talking and planned on leaving together. The victim apparently ingested GHB and passed out. Upon waking around 7 a.m., the victim saw that multiple rooms in the residence were missing items, including cash, antiques, sports memorabilia, jewelry, personal identification, credit cards, electronics, and a suitcase.

The property stolen is valued at more than $8,000.

Jackson Township Police issued warrants for DeMarsico’s arrest for burglary and theft. He also has outstanding warrants out of Englishtown and Ocean Township, both in Monmouth County.
