JACKSON – An 18-year-old male was arrested for burglary and other offenses, Jackson Township Police reported.

The man was charged with third-degree burglary, criminal mischief, resisting arrest with force, disorderly conduct and harassment. He also had an outstanding warrant from Seaside Heights. Jackson Police processed him and took him to Ocean County Jail.

Around midnight March 23, police were called to a Sage Court residence after receiving a report a male had kicked in a home’s door. The man, known to the residents, was arguing with a resident who was inside the home.

The man resisted the police’s attempt to arrest and search him, police said. While outside, the man yelled profanities at other residents.

One officer sustained minor injuries.

Jackson Township Police do not release the names of those arrested.
