JERSEY SHORE – The New Jersey Department of Transportation says shoulder closures are planned this week along several stretches of Interstate 195 as crews begin roadway work in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

The project is scheduled to run from December 2 through December 5 and will affect multiple sections of the highway. Work will take place between mileposts 11 and 20 in Upper Freehold, Millstone and Jackson, as well as between mileposts 30 and 34.17 in Wall and Howell, officials said.

Drivers should expect shoulder closures in both directions from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are urged to slow down, use caution and anticipate possible delays. NJDOT noted that timing may shift depending on weather or unforeseen conditions.

Officials thanked motorists for their patience while the work is underway.
