JACKSON — Construction on a major new roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure has moved into a new phase, with the first elevated track piece now installed as the park’s planned 2027 attraction begins to rise above the skyline.
The milestone marks the start of vertical assembly for the highly anticipated project, shifting the work from site preparation to visible construction. After recent track deliveries, crews have started placing the first sections that will outline the ride’s path, giving visitors their first clear look at the scale of the new coaster as it begins to take form.
The progress comes as the New Jersey park prepares for the start of its 2026 operating season and a wider slate of changes across the property.
Six Flags Great Adventure is scheduled to open for the season on March 28. A Passholder Preview is set for March 27 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., giving season passholders and members an early chance to return to the park and catch a glimpse of the coaster’s early development.
The park is also continuing work on The Boardwalk, a redesigned area themed as a modern take on a traditional seaside destination. Park officials say the area is expected to open in late spring with new rides, updated food options and other improvements aimed at enhancing the guest experience.
Opening weekend will also bring the launch of the Safari Spring Break Celebration, running from March 28 through April 12. The event is set to feature animal-themed entertainment, hands-on activities and attractions geared toward families, along with the return of Safari Off-Road Adventure access from داخل the theme park.
Park officials are also promoting a limited-time spring sale on season passes, positioning the 2026 season as an opportunity for guests to watch the new coaster’s construction advance throughout the year while also experiencing the park’s latest additions.
