Jackson Structure Fire Under Investigation

JACKSON – A portion of Route 527 (Cedar Swamp Road) has been closed down temporarily due to a structure fire in Jackson, according to police officials.

The structure fire occurred in the back of a private residence, said Sergeant Nelson of the Jackson Police Department. The fire has been extinguished but is still under investigation, she said.  Jackson Police, Fire and EMS responded to the scene.

Route 527 is closed between Freehold Road and West Pleasant Grove Road until further notice.

“Please avoid the area and plan another route,” stated police via social media.
