JACKSON – Cedar Swamp Road, Freehold Road and Jackson Mills Road are set to reopen September 4 after nearly two months of closures, township officials announced.
Although the roads will be open and safe for drivers, crews will remain on-site for several weeks to complete utility relocation, install permanent traffic signals, build a 550-foot retaining wall along Cedar Swamp Road and finish paving work. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously, obey the 35 mph work zone speed limit, and remain alert for workers along the roadside.
Officials thanked residents for their patience during the project and asked drivers to continue exercising caution as the improvements move toward completion.
