JACKSON – With the bathroom breaks, it’s actually only 27 hours.

On Oct. 28, six randomly chosen people will vie for a $300 grand prize by spending 30 hours in a coffin, a stunt that’s part of the park’s Fright Fest.

The 30-hour Coffin Challenge runs 1 p.m. Oct. 28 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29. Check-in is 12:15 p.m. Participants not only stand to win the cash, but there are two 2019 Gold Season passes, two 2019 basic dining season passes, two Fright Fest passes for the Haunted Houses, and even the coffin to win.

Would-be participants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid photo ID and be in good health. They must be willing and able to lie down in a 2-by-7 coffin and bring their own pillow and sleeping bag.

They’ll be allowed 6-minute bathroom breaks—one per hour—and will be disqualified if they leave the coffin for any other reason.

Meals must be eaten in the coffin as well.

To be considered, entries must be received by midnight Oct. 14. Participants will be chosen Oct. 16 and need to confirm participation by Oct. 18. Only one entry per person is allowed. Submitting multiple entries will not increase chances for being chosen.
