“Suspicious Incident” Leads To Drug Charges

FORKED RIVER – Police were called to the Wawa at Taylor Lane and Route 9 South for a “suspicious incident” at 8:12 a.m. Oct. 1.

Lacey Township Police Officers Andrew Slota and Noah Schaffer arrested 29-year-old Corey L. Heulitt, of Forked River.

Heulitt had two outstanding warrants out of Long Branch Municipal Court, totaling $2,750.

He was also searched and found to have hypodermic syringes and CDS.

He was transported to police headquarters, and unable to make bail, taken to Ocean County Correctional Facility.
