HOWELL – Howell High School Peer Leaders hosted their annual coat drive this year, bringing in a whopping 888 coats.

These students are members of Athanasia Gregorakis and Matthew Coulson’s Peer Leadership classes. They were tasked with reaching out to local businesses to coordinate collection bin drop locations throughout Howell.

“Their efforts were successful with bags filled with coats for men, women, and children being dropped off,” stated the Freehold Regional High School District.

Not only did the students take the drive beyond Howell High School, but they also partnered with Howell Middle School South’s Student Council Executive Board, which brought in about 100 coats as well.

The donated coats will be distributed to families in need around Monmouth County by the New York Giants drive’s organizers.
