Four Dead In Post-Holiday Parkway Crash

BERKELEY – Authorities have confirmed that four people are dead after a collision on the Garden State Parkway early Wednesday morning.

The New Jersey State Police official Twitter feed reported that at 2:50 a.m., troopers responded to mile marker 81.3 southbound after a tractor trailer and car collided.

The four occupants of the car are confirmed dead. The driver of the tractor trailer is uninjured. Details on the specific vehicles or the exact number of people involved were not released.

As of 5:30 a.m., the right lane of the Parkway in that area was closed.

State Police have no other information at this time.
