HOWELL – Police in Howell Township are investigating the cause of a head-on crash that injured a police officer and another driver.
Police said the head-on collision near Norse Drive and Manassa Road happened on Friday.
A Howell officer sustained a significant leg injury and facial lacerations after a vehicle entered his lane of travel and struck him head-on, according to the police department’s Facebook page. The other driver sustained moderate injuries.
The officer and the driver were taken to local hospitals for treatment. No word yet on their conditions.
The road was shut down during the initial probe.
