Shore Business Owner Admits to Neglecting Payroll Taxes

  BRICK – The owner of Stars-N-Stripes Asphalt Maintenance in Brick has admitted to failing to pay payroll taxes for employees, according to authorities.

  Owner Donato DiPasquale, 55, of Brick recently plead guilty to one count of failing to collect, account for and pay payroll taxes, before US District Judge Peter G. Sheridan.

  DiPasquale cheated the IRS out of $435,270 in payroll taxes for his employees between 2010 and 2015, according to the IRS.

  He faces up to five years in prison and fines up to $250,000 or twice the gain or loss, whichever is greater, authorities said.
